When you reach the foot bridge over Cotton Patch Hollow leave the trail to bushwhack downstream a short distance along the northeast bank of the stream. After a big rain there is lots of whitewater in this short section of the stream between Sheltowee Trace Trail and the Big South Fork River. Flood water from the river sometimes reaches about to the base of this waterfall.
