Meadow Creek Falls
I had visited Mill Springs several times over the years and had no idea that there was a spectacular waterfall that reminds me of a mini Cumberland Falls in the same park, hidden away just beyond the tree line. Meadow Creek Falls is one of my favorite waterfalls in the state of Kentucky.
Marcus Creasy told me about this waterfall, and on our first visit, we were just blown away. It is a ledge waterfall, quite wide and decently tall. It just tumbles and tumbles over that rock ledge on Meadow Creek right before the creek flows into Lake Cumberland. If you’re visiting Mill Springs, you must walk across the field behind the houses and down to the edge of the woods to see this waterfall. It amazed me that I had gone on for years before I knew it existed, which is also just the way things were before we had state LiDAR that shows you every single waterfall that’s out there. With the addition of Meadow Creek Falls along with Mill Springs Falls, this is a very worthy stop when you’re traveling along 92 south of the lake.
